Flams
Flams can be a difficult rudiment, and it is sometimes mistaken for 2 quick single strokes.
A flam is shown like this: RLLR
The smaller letters are ghost notes. The ghost notes should be played about a millisecond or just before the accented note. The ghost note should be barely heard.
Rock flams are flams without the accent, and is easier to do and louder.
How to practice the flam: Practice doing RRLL. The faster you can do this, the faster you can do flams.
